Dr. John Fessler, Principal in Ä¢¹½tv's Mechanical Engineering Practice, will be presenting a session onmanaging secure identities on a mobile deviceat the ISC West Conference to be held in Las Vegas. Dr. Fessler's Presentation will be on Thursday, April 12th. ISC West is the largest security industry trade show in the U.S.
Abstract
The main points of discussion will involve the use of advanced authentication techniques to enable mobile devices to present digital credentials to physical access control systems. A new identity credential can be provisioned to a mobile device and stored securely on the device or a digital representation of an existing hardware credential, called a derived credential, and can be used by a mobile phone for access or for securing email and other online services. Discover how to take advantage of the growing need to provide secure PKI-based authentication to services on mobile devices.
Learning Outcomes:
- Describe how managing secure identities on a mobile device improves authentication across corporate, state and local government.
- Demonstrate how mobile devices can be provisioned for stronger identity authentication for physical access control systems.
- Provide secure PKI-based authentication services on mobile devices.
