Mr. Glasby joined Ä¢¹½tv in August 2019. His role is to provide safety and regulatory guidance to clients on all aspects of bringing cosmetic products to market in the EU, UK and globally. 

Mr. Glasby is responsible for preparing Cosmetic Product Safety Reports and Toxicological Risk Assessments (TRAs) for cosmetic products and their ingredients. James has experience in writing and reviewing these documents for a wide range of skincare, haircare and makeup products for international brands. Mr Glasby provides guidance on claims substantiation and has experience conducting on-site investigations and audits of cosmetic product and raw material manufacturing facilities.

Mr. Glasby is also responsible for carrying out artwork & formula reviews, constructing Product Information Files (PIFs), notifying products on the EU Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (CPNP), UK Submit Cosmetic Products Notification Portal (SCPN) and listing products on the FDA Cosmetics Direct database.  James has also produced technical reports considering regulatory compliance of cosmetic ingredients in global markets. He is responsible for advising clients on household product CLP classifications and the associated Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and labelling requirements.

Mr. Glasby has experience in all areas of product development including project management, product formulation, stability testing, manufacturing methods, production scale up and aftermarket product support. Mr. Glasby is proficient in European Classification, Labelling and Packaging regulatory requirements, he has experience of constructing technical files for Class I and II Medical Devices and he is familiar with the European Biocidal Products Regulation from the perspective of a product manufacturer. 

Mr. Glasby previously worked as a Technical Support Chemist for Quadralene Ltd, a leading UK manufacturer of cleaning detergents and disinfectants. In this role, he worked on the development of products for the cosmetic, healthcare, automotive and janitorial industries.

Mr. Glasby graduated with a First-Class Honours degree in Chemistry from the University of Nottingham in 2014 and was awarded the Boots-Drummond Prize during the final year of his degree for distinguished work. He is also a Chartered Chemist and member of the Royal Society of Chemistry.
